Every era was defined by what it assumed could fail.
Mainframes assumed the hardware could fail. Client-server assumed the machine could. The Internet assumed nodes and networks could. This is the first era where the thing that fails can also lie.
An agent can be prompt-injected, lose its credentials, or look healthy while compromised. An operator sits inside the trust boundary. A log is written by the system under question. Infrastructure built for the last era trusts all three.
Weilliptic is built on the opposite assumption. Any actor can be wrong or malicious, and the system still proves what happened.
Three rules, applied to every layer.
Assume actors lie.
Nothing is trusted because of where it sits. Not the agent, not the log, not the operator. Every action carries its own proof.
Prove, do not log.
A record is only evidence if someone with no reason to trust you can check it. Every receipt is attested by a quorum before it is committed.
One stack, not a toolbox.
Identity, authority, memory, events and evidence come from the same layer, so they agree with each other. Whichever product you start with, the rest is already there.
